Spin-offs? Look at what they did for the Star Trek Franchise: Star Trek (the original), The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager; all milked multiple seasons and dozens of novels and comics as spin-off sequels.
Stargate anyone? The original movie and its ten season long spin-off Stargate: SG1 TV series, and then the so-far four season long and running secondary spin-off TV series Stargate: Atlantis.
All must be absolutely horrible to watch and in no way holding candles to their respective originals surely.

Yet it failed when Star Wars was mentioned; it is popular belief that the prequel trilogy should not have been done, therefore it isn't sarcasm anymore; it's just stating the obvious.

Tolkien is one of the best examples of how spinoffs can become so damn good. Same with Pirates of the Carribean; its sequels are awesome.

However, the 4th movie is being considered, and the story proposed, which is travelling to the fountain of youth, doesn't sound too good a sequel. If that happens, we'll assume we'll see a modern day Jack Sparrow using guns instead of swords and selling pirated movies while smoking crack to celebrate his immortality.

And the worst sequel ever made has to be The Mummy 3....

C74 is short for Comiket 74, a biannual doujinshi event in Tokyo. Hard copies are sold there and then it's up to a devoted few to scan them in and upload them to the internets. If you search on tokyotosho, you'll find a lot of "C74" stuff, but none of it has this one.
